It’s just me…

After much thought and searching, I discovered that I am not overly interested in “social-networking” sites, nor am I particularly interested in keeping an Associated Content type site up and updated… Hey, I write and edit for a living! Ya think I wanna feel pressured to do it in my free time?

And so - here I land… in the great wide world of blogs, planning to use it as an outlet, a venting place and a creative blank canvas. Will this be a fabulous, socially motivating blog? Probably not. I haven’t got that kind of time. But it will certainly be a place for me to explore, express and otherwise unload. And if others see it, and like it - so much the better. If others see it and hate it - OH WELL.

And so, about Yours Truly… Well, Gentle Reader, I am first of all a mom. I am also Managing Editor of several firearm magazines, a certified gun-geekette, proud supporter of gun rights and proud owner of firearms. What’s it to ya?

Politically speaking, I fall somewhere on the fence on most issues, though there are some issues where my feet are firmly on one side or the other. I tend to think that most politicians have a major problem - that is politics was never meant to be a career choice, but an act of service. Whoops.

I personally do not have a whole lot of time or inclination to design fancy pages, pretty fonts and other neat stuff - and I admit a level of envy to those who DO… That said, I am taking the KISS approach - Keep It Simple, Stupid… Or in my case, Keep It Stupid Simple…

I do welcome all commentary - whether you agree with me or not, and I love a good debate, so long as it’s kept courteous and respectful. A little note here - I may welcome all comments, but anonymous slams of any sort are going to be sent immediately to where they belong: the trash heap. If you dislike something I have to say, or something I post about - be so kind as to own your opinion.

And if anyone has any illusions of being able to adequately describe themselves, or get to know someone via one of these things - I think I have a bridge for sale.
